Explorer Bees is not a waiting room for Pre-K it’s a full year of intentional, evolving academics. Teachers continuously adapt Creative Curriculum alongside structured literacy, math, and Spanish, so every child is challenged at exactly the right level all year long.
ABOUT OUR CLASSROOM
Where Play Meets Purpose
Explorer Bees layers Creative Curriculum with a structured literacy program (phonological awareness and pre-reading), an early math strand (number sense, patterns, measurement), and daily Spanish through music and conversation.
Children don’t sit at desks — they learn through investigation, collaboration, and hands-on projects that build real academic habits of mind. This is preschool the way it should be done.
What your child will experience
A DAY IN EXPLORER BEES
- 7:00 – 8:30 AM · Early care for full-day families calm arrival, breakfast, and free exploration.
- 8:30 AM · Mandatory arrival our preschool day begins together with morning meeting.
- Morning meeting calendar, weather chart, days of the week in English and Spanish.
- Structured literacy block phonological awareness, letter sounds, print concepts.
- Math exploration sorting, patterns, counting to 20, shapes and measurement.
- Spanish immersion songs, vocabulary, simple phrases and responses.
- Project-based learning through Creative Curriculum studies.
- Outdoor play social negotiation, gross motor, and nature.
- Lunch (full day) and self-help independence.
- 2:30 PM · Half-day dismissal. Afternoon (full day): storytime, rest, creative enrichment. 6:00 PM close.

Kindergarten
Will my child be ready for Kindergarten? Yes our literacy and math programming is designed so children enter Pre-K with foundational skills to thrive academically, not just socially.
Play
Is there enough play? Absolutely the best outcomes at this age come from play-based learning with intentional structure. We hold both without compromise.
Spanish at 3
Spanish at 3 is that too early? It’s the ideal time. Young children absorb language effortlessly, and our program is woven into daily routines so it feels natural.
BY THE END OF THIS ROOM
- Recognizing and beginning to write all letters of the alphabet.
- Identifying letter sounds and beginning phonological blending.
- Counting to 30+ with understanding; introduction to basic addition.
- Using simple Spanish vocabulary in songs, greetings, and responses.

Lead Preschool Teacher | Explorer Bees
Ms. Ariel creates a fun and engaging classroom where our three year olds can learn, grow, and thrive. She encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence through hands on learning experiences that help children strengthen their language, social, and problem solving skills while making every day exciting.
I want to share how amazing my son Jax Davila’s preschool teachers, Ms. Ariel and Ms. Minoska, are in Preschool 2. They’ve done wonders with him, helping him become more independent and curious about learning. I’m always impressed by how much he’s learning and how interested he is in it all. The teachers regularly update me and send pictures of his day, which I love. Since he started in their classroom, I’ve noticed a big improvement in his talking skills, which used to worry me. I highly recommend Ms. Ariel and Ms. Minoska for their excellent work and the positive impact they’ve had on my son’s learning.
