Super Bees is a full year of Pre-K excellence and the curriculum keeps raising the bar all year long so no child coasts. By the end of the year, Super Bees don’t just meet kindergarten benchmarks, they exceed them.
ABOUT OUR CLASSROOM
Pre-K Done Right
Super Bees combines the full Creative Curriculum framework with a structured literacy strand that builds real decoding and early reading, a math workshop where children solve problems and think critically, and a Spanish program that builds prior exposure into genuine conversational ability.
Children leave Super Bees with the academic skills, social confidence, and executive function to excel in kindergarten at any school in Jersey City or beyond. Same teachers. Evolving rigor. Kindergarten-ready confidence.
What your child will experience
A DAY IN SUPER BEES
- 7:00 – 8:30 AM · Early care calm arrival, breakfast, independent reading or journaling.
- 8:30 AM · Mandatory arrival Pre-K starts together with morning meeting.
- Morning meeting attendance, calendar math, weather graph, daily news discussion.
- Structured literacy block phonics, sight words, early reading and writing.
- Math workshop number operations, word problems, geometry, measurement.
- Spanish class conversational practice, vocabulary, and cultural exploration.
- Creative Curriculum project work and investigations.
- Outdoor play, lunch, and afternoon enrichment / rest. 6:00 PM close.

Kindergarten
Kindergarten readiness this is the entire focus of Super Bees; we assess each child and work intentionally to close any gaps so they start kindergarten with confidence.
Screen time
no passive screens; any technology is interactive, purposeful, and minimal. Learning happens through doing.

We’re a resource: we know the local schools, understand what they look for, and can help you advocate for your child.
BY THE END OF THIS ROOM
- Reading simple CVC and sight-word books independently.
- Writing full sentences with beginning punctuation.
- Adding and subtracting within 10; understanding place value to 20.
- Holding a simple back-and-forth conversation in Spanish.
- Demonstrating full kindergarten readiness: focus, independence, peer collaboration, and resilience.
